1. What this service is

בא לי כשר is a service for locating businesses in Israel that hold a kosher certificate. It presents information published to the public by the Ministry of Religious Services on its kashrut portal, and lets you search it by location, city, category and kashrut level.

2. Source of the information and its limits

Information about businesses, certificates and their validity, religious councils and supervisors comes from the official registry of the Ministry of Religious Services and is synchronised daily. We do not issue kosher certificates, do not supervise businesses, and are not a certifying body.

In practice: we reflect what is recorded in the government registry as of the last synchronisation. A certificate may be revoked, expire or change between synchronisations. For every business we show a direct link to the official certificate on the Ministry’s site — it is the source of truth, not us. In any case of doubt, and especially before eating at a place, check the physical certificate at the business or contact the supervisor.

3. Images and illustrations

The images shown alongside businesses on the site and in the app are generic graphic illustrations representing the business category (restaurant, café, bakery and so on). They are not photographs of the business, the venue or the dishes served there, and do not purport to represent the actual appearance, menu or offering.

When a business uploads its own images through our interface, they are marked as such, and responsibility for their content and accuracy lies with the business.

No inference about the business’s kashrut type should be drawn from the illustration. The kashrut type (meat / dairy / parve) and level (regular / mehadrin) are always shown in explicit text next to the business name, and they — not the illustration — are the operative information.

4. Liability

The service is provided as is. We make reasonable efforts to keep the information accurate and current, but we do not warrant this and are not liable for damage resulting from reliance on the information shown here without independent verification against the business or the official certificate.

Found an inaccuracy? Every business page has a report button, and we review every report.

5. Supervisor details

The names and phone numbers of supervisors and inspectors are published to the public by the Ministry of Religious Services, so that people can make contact and clarify kashrut matters. We present them for exactly that purpose. They may not be used for marketing, mailing or any other purpose. A supervisor who wishes their details removed is welcome to contact us and we will remove them.

6. Fair use

You may use the service for personal purposes. Automated scraping of the database, copying it in full, or using the contact details it contains for mailing purposes, are prohibited.
