Why we built this
You are on the road, hungry, in an area you don’t know. The question is not only “where is there a restaurant”, but “is this place really kosher, and until when”. A “kosher” sign on the front does not mean the certificate is valid, and an expired certificate looks exactly like a valid one.
We built בא לי כשר so the answer is one tap away — anywhere in the country, at any hour.

Reliability of the information
The information shown here is based on the official publication of the Ministry of Religious Services and is updated on an ongoing basis. On every business page you’ll find a direct link to the official certificate — it is the source of truth.
We are not a certifying body. We do not issue certificates and do not supervise businesses. In any case of doubt, and especially before eating at a place, check the certificate at the business or contact the supervisor.
Found an inaccuracy? Every business page has a report button, and we review every submission.
What the numbers here mean
The database contains many more establishments than establishments with a published valid certificate, and this gap confuses many people. It almost never means that something is wrong.
The reason is simple: some Religious Councils issue certificates as usual but do not transfer their details for official publication. Such an establishment is completely kosher, with a certificate hanging on the wall, and simply has no data in the publication. There are entire towns where this is the situation.
Therefore we do not write about such a place "no valid certificate" — that is a statement we have no basis to make. We write that the Religious Council in that locality does not publish the details, and that it is worthwhile to check on site.
What we do not do
- We do not rank or recommend one place over another.
- We do not sell placement in search results. Result order is determined by what you searched for and by distance, not by who paid.
- We do not rule on halachic questions and do not decide what is sufficient for someone who is stringent.
- We do not write on our own authority whether a place is kosher or not kosher. What is displayed is what the certifying authority published.
Who is this for
For those looking for where to eat today, for those arriving in an unfamiliar city, and for those who want to check a specific place before booking an event. The website and app are available in Hebrew, English, French and Spanish — because a large portion of enquiries come from tourists who have no other way to check.
Is it free
The search, map, certificate details and app — free and without registration. Registration is only required to save favourites and receive alerts when a certificate of a saved place is about to expire. Business owners have a separate area with paid packages, which does not affect search results order.
